The chairperson of the board, Marita Brinkmann, is an art educator and journalist. The wissensART foundation, which she founded in 2020, is an affair of the heart for her to promote the dialogue between art and science. As a media scientist, she worked for Radio Bremen and Westdeutscher Rundfunk, among others. After stations in Bremen and Munich, she began her journalistic career in 1989 in Berlin at what was then RIAS-TV. After the station was taken over by Deutsche Welle, she worked for 30 years as an author and TV producer in the culture and science departments.'

Since the 1980s engaged between Journalism and media communication. First at scene magazines, taz and NDR, then in PR agencies for clients like clients such as Spiegel TV, the Milchstrasse publishing group (Max, Cinema, TV Spielfilm, Amica), BMW and Lufthansa. Co-editor of Urban Art books and for many years active for the Filmfest Hamburg.
